LG G Pad 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 to arrive this month

Just a few weeks before the highly anticipated LG G3 launch in London on May 27, official images show off a new series of LG tablets. After the success of the LG G Pad 8.3, it looks like LG is stepping back into the tablet ring at full throttle. Not too much is known about the hardware and tech specs running the devices, however some software and design details have already been revealed.

The three new tablets follow the same naming convention as the G Pad, but now in three new sizes, just like the Galaxy Tab series, of 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 inches. Though nothing has been revealed in terms of tech specs, it’s pretty likely that these will be stuck somewhere in the mid-range class. The design is similar to that of the G Pad, and from the leaked images, it will come in white, blue and black.

The tablets will be officially unveiled by the company during the MedPi 2014, which goes from May 13 to 16th in Monaco. The new series will come with LG’s series of UX features, such as QPair 2.0 and Knock Code, and other multitasking and multimedia functions we know from the G Pad 8.3.

Highlights of LG’s new G Pad Series tablets are:

The latest G Pad tablets will also include LG’s proprietary UX features such as QPair 2.0 and Knock CodeTM. With an updated version of QPair, which was first introduced on G Pad 8.3, users can effortlessly connect to their Android-powered smartphones via Bluetooth to receive notifications of calls and messages and now be able to respond directly from the G Pad. What’s more, Knock Code™ enables users to power on and unlock their LG smartphones in one easy step by entering a personalized “knock” pattern on the smartphone’s display. Knock Code™ offers convenience and greater security as the knock pattern can be entered anywhere on the screen in any size ― with the display on or off ― using a personalized sequence of two to eight taps for more than 80,000 possible combinations.
