Huawei officially presents the 6.5 mm thin Ascend P7 Update
Huawei presented the Ascend P7 today during their press conference which took place in the city of love, Paris. The successor to the Ascend P6 is the Huawei flagship of the year and just like its predecessor, it has received a flat and elegant design as well as an updated UI, Emotion2.3. Complete tech specs as well as design and camera information have now been added in the most recent update.
The Huawei Ascend P7 flagship smartphone, ''Excellence with Edge'', was dramatically presented during the press event by CEO Richard Yu. The P7 is a much better camera than the P6, and at only 6.5 mm thin, is officially one of the slimmest LTE phones in the mobile consumer market. Another cool thing is that it will have the super protective Corning Gorilla Glass 3 not only on the front, but also the back as well.
Design
With Corning Gorilla Glass on the both the front and the back, the Ascend P7 also received a metallic look which was acheived thanks to a 7-layer surface treatment with a spin effect micro pattern design. It was styled, according to Huawei, after a droplet of water. The device has thin bezels, and on-screen capacitative buttons. The bottom portion under the display only has the Huawei logo.
Camera
In trying to refine the camera experience users have on their smartphones, Huawei has packed new features into the camera in the Ascend P7: there's a group selfie feature, or as they call it, a ''Groufie'', which allows you to take panoramic selfies and beautify everyone in the picture with 10 levels of auto-facial enhancements. They've added a new ''Voice Photo'' feature, where pics include 10-second audio clips.

Availability and Price
The Huawei Ascend P7 will come in three colors: black, white and pink. More could be on their way. It will come with a few accessories as well, such as a TalkBand B1, colorful protective cases, clamshell screen covers and best of all, portable batteries!
It will sell for 449 Euros and come first to China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Serbia, Greece, Norway, Hungary, Denmark, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates as of May. USA, Canada and other countries will follow thereafter.
